Wyre Forest District Council has published an online map showing all the sites submitted for consideration in its Local Plan.
The council carried out a 'call for sites' exercise between 1 October and 24 December 2025, inviting landowners, residents and other interested parties to suggest land with potential for development. The exercise resulted in 105 sites being submitted.
A separate call for sites relating to Gypsy and Traveller provision opened on 20 April 2026 and closes on 13 July 2026. Sites from this exercise will be added to the map once the deadline passes.
What the map shows
The map displays all submitted sites but does not indicate which are suitable for development. No decisions have been made about any of them.
Councillor Dan Morehead, the council's Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Planning and the Green Agenda, said: "We want to be open about the sites that have been put forward so the public can see them. However, it is important to understand that the map simply shows land that has been suggested. It is not a list of sites chosen for the Local Plan."
He added: "Just because a site appears on the map does not mean it is suitable for development. There is still a significant amount of work to be done before any decisions are made."
What happens next
The council will assess each site carefully before deciding how much growth is needed and where it should be located. Sites will then be considered for allocation in the next Local Plan. Public consultation opportunities will be available throughout the process.
