Wyre Forest District Council has launched a consultation asking local residents, businesses, community groups and visitors to shape the future of the district through a new Local Plan.
The Spatial Issues and Local Priorities Consultation is an early stage in preparing the plan and seeks feedback on what matters most to local communities before detailed policies are developed.
What the consultation covers
The council wants input on a wide range of topics including climate change, housing, jobs, town centres, transport, infrastructure, biodiversity, health, green spaces and community facilities.
People can contribute views on priorities such as supporting local businesses, improving transport links, protecting the environment, creating opportunities for local jobs, enhancing community facilities, or identifying what makes Wyre Forest a great place to live, work and visit.
How to take part
The consultation is open now and closes on Monday 28 September 2026.
People can complete the consultation online. Paper versions of the survey are available from Wyre Forest House and the hub on Green Street.
Councillor Dan Morehead, Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration, Planning and the Green Agenda, said the decisions made now will shape the district for years to come. "If you care about where you live, work or spend your leisure time, we want to hear from you," he said. "You do not need to be an expert to take part."
