Brinton Park will officially open its restored pavilion, café and heritage features on Saturday 31 October. The final temporary barriers are being removed as the £2.9 million restoration project nears completion, allowing visitors to access the full park once again.

The opening event runs from 12 noon with live music, refreshments and ice creams from Little Al's Kitchen in the new pavilion café. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1pm. A photographic exhibition will showcase the park's evolution since it first opened, offering visitors insight into the people, places and features that have shaped one of Kidderminster's best-loved parks.

What the restoration has delivered

The project has reinstated the ornamental pool and bridge, restored historic features and pathways, and improved habitats for wildlife. Work has also enhanced accessibility and created a new pavilion community building and café. The restoration has supported volunteering, learning and heritage activities designed to help more people connect with the park and its history.

Funding partners

The restoration has been made possible through a partnership between Wyre Forest District Council, The National Lottery Heritage Fund, The National Lottery Community Fund, McPhillips Wellington Limited and Be Bold Media.
